On Taylor Road about 1/2 mile east of the Naval Aviation Museum. Includes the historic Water Battery, Fort Barrancus, trails, visitors center, picnic areas and the Advanced Redoubt.
End of Fort Morgan Peninsula
Built between 1819 and 1833, it sits where Mobile Bay meets the Gulf of Mexico. This historic site shows the evolution of seacoast fortifications and adaptations made by the U.S. Army for the defense of our country. Also features nature areas, a boat launch, beaches, a museum and a gift shop.

Originally built in 1910 as a schoolhouse, the museum houses local artifacts and memorabilia relating to our Native American and fishing heritage. Families of early fisherman have donated supplies and collectibles that make us mindful of the challenges and achievements in the early days of our fishing industry.
